Perhaps the first step is to identify exactly what a Medieval Faire or Event
is. They are generally a gathering of people who are trying to recreate as
authentically as possible the Medieval time period.
The costs involved are the following:$8-12 for Admission(all weekend); $5 site fee(for overnighters). Food is available for purchase, however it is recommended that you bring your own food (if you are camping overnight).

General Information and Recommendations

|
If you are staying overnight at the event site, a tent or non-vehicular dwelling is recommended. You may use your car or camper, but it is not very authentic. There are Honey Buckets for your restroom needs. Showers are ocasionally available, but generally only water is available. Clothing is available to "rent" at events. The cost is either your driver's license or your car keys for the duration of your rental. To get the best garments, early arrival is recommended. Be sure to wear good shoes, as the grounds tend to be soft or muddy, sometimes both.

There are always plenty of booths containing Medieval wares, so if you're looking to purchase things, they will be there. There are always activities that go on at the events, such as tourneys, swordplay, and court. The most important thing to remember is that these events are designed to be as authentic as possible, so keep that in mind as you prepare your journey into the forgotten realm of the past.
